Spanish lessons to Eat better

There is always a reason why we decide to learn languages. It may have to do with our education, travelling, business, arts, meeting people who speak a foreign language, etc. Whatever the reason behind our learning may be, we will always reap more rewards than we thought at a first place. When taking English classes Chicago visitors are fulfilling their trip dream while learning the language. This is one typical situation.

It is only when we apply theory that things get interesting. If we attend lessons and we don’t do anything outside the classroom, we will get bored pretty soon. We need to nourish our desire for learning. For some people, food can be an encouraging subject.

When taking Spanish classes New York people learn about the Spanish gastronomy culture. It is common for Americans to eat Mexican Food, although when they speak about it they generally mean Tex-Mex (or Cal-Mex) cooking, a very popular kind of cuisine that spans the border between the United States and Mexico. Dishes like tortilla chips, salsa, fajitas, chili, chimichangas, burritos, corn chips and nachos are indeed very tasty. However, they are American creations. Even dishes that exist in Meciso like tamales, enchiladas and tacos are prepared and served differently in the States. Mexican-made dishes are not cooked to be red hot as in the United States. Besides, American versions of Mexican food adds considerable amounts of cheese, either melted or shredded, to virtually every dish, something uncanny for the Mexican. Most times you go to a Mexican restaurant, waiters and waitresses speak both Spanish and English. If you start feeling comfortable speaking Spanish, you could try ordering in such language.

However, Spanish speaking countries are many along Latin America and its food varies a lot. For example, Argentinians are famous for their steak. When travelling to Argentina, everyone wants to try the Argentine Beef, and also their version of Barbecue, known as “Asado”.  Beef cuts are grilled with charcoal, located under a metal gate known as “parrilla”.

If you are a food and language lover, you might know that food is one of the most fun topics to learn about when taking language lessons. Each language is one –or many!- worlds, and so if their food culture.
